Emulsification is easy using an ethoxylated fatty alcohol of type C13[OE]6 as surfactant.
Example of a micro emulsion formulation by inversion
BLUESIL FLD EXTRASOFT: 20 %
Alcohol tridecyl 6OE: 10%
KOH 1N: 1.74 %
Acetic acid 100% (glacial) : 0,37%
Water: to 100 %
Mix the oil with the surfactant, the acid, and gradually add the water.
Application can be done either by padding or by exhaustion. A silicone deposit of between 0.3 % and 1 %.

BLUESIL FLD EXTRASOFT is a silicone oil with diamine functions, mainly intended for the formulation of textile finishing emulsions.
The structural characteristics of BLUESIL FLD EXTRASOFT have been optimised in order to give it outstanding fabric softening capability while minimizing yellowing.
- Imparts an extremely soft, full and silky hand to fabrics.
- Provides outstanding lubrication of the textile’s components (threads, fibres).
- Improves the fabric’s drape characteristics.
- Enhances elasticity and crease removal after washing.
- Low yellowing.
BLUESIL FLD EXTRASOFT is a base oil that is easily emulsifiable in micro or macro emulsions, intended for fabric softening and lubrication treatment of textiles.
