Because of the seriousness of the fire, the SDIS (the Departmental Fire and Emergency Service) was contacted right away as well as the prefecture.
An ERP (Emergency Response Plan) was launched, involving the containment of the surroundings and closing the access roads (highway, CD12…). The Prefect went on the site in person to oversee the operations.
Thanks to the efficient reaction of the intervention team that arrived on site quickly, the fire is now contained.
The ERP and the containment were lifted at 2:45pm.
An employee is still missing, it is our priority to keep the search going until we can locate this person.
An SDIS fireman has been lightly injured.
In the light of the means quickly deployed and according to the first findings, this accident will only have a limited environmental impact.
