Today, Elkem Silicones inaugurated
the opening of its new Asia Pacific regional business center located in
Shanghai xinzhuang industrial park. This
new 1500m2 center will be home to sales, marketing, administrative
functions and product stewardship for Elkem Silicones in Asia Pacific. Company executives were on hand to celebrate
the grand opening with employees.
As part of its strategy for growth and technology leadership in partnership with customers in Asia Pacific, Elkem Silicones also will expand its Asia Pacific R&D center located in Shanghai. Applications range from release coating, antifoams and softener for paper industry, to coatings, sealing and bonding, through to products for the textile, automotive, cosmetics and healthcare sectors.
The Asia Pacific is one of our key focus markets following the integration of China Xinghuo Silicones to Elkem," said Helge Aasen, chief executive officer of Elkem.
