Messe Düsseldorf postpones trade fair for the wire and cable industry.

Messe Düsseldorf postpones WIRE 2020. In close coordination with all partners involved, the company will promptly discuss alternative trade fair dates in order to guarantee planning can reliably proceed.

Keep the opportunity to discuss about fabulous silicone world !

With increasing demand in energy, the role of cables is becoming more and more crucial. Our silicones provide heat and fire resistance and present high mechanical properties which are key for safety requirements and circuit integrity. We also develop solutions for electric vehicles: our silicone can be used in battery cables, high voltage cables and flexible cables.

We are looking forward to rescheduling the Wire faire. In the meantime, our team of experts will be happy to discuss with you and answer your questions.

Bluesil™ HCR elastomers for safe and durable insulation of your cables

Bluesil™ HCR elastomers are the right solution for safe and durable insulation of cables. Through custom compounding, Bluesil™ HCR elastomers can meet many requirements such as low smoke cable, low toxicity, low corrosive and halogen free. In addition, this range has outstanding fire and thermal resistance properties, far superior to conventional organic elastomers, that prevent short circuits or shutdown and improve overall cable integrity.

Thus, Bluesil™ range is well suited to safety applications and can be used in highly populated areas, undergrounds & tunnels, railway industry, building, shipbuilding and so on.

Automotive Energy Transition

In addition, Elkem Silicones offers solutions dedicated to electric vehicles. Silicone can be used to produce battery cables, high voltage cables and flexible cables. Elkem Silicones has recently made new developments: those solutions withstand high and low temperatures for long period of time, are highly flexible and provide reliable insulation and mechanical performances. Moreover, the solutions can comply with OEM standards such as the LV216.

All those solutions are developed and mastered by a team of experts.
