All the latest emerging technologies unleashed at one event

Elkem Silicones will be showcasing at this year's IDTechEx Show in Santa Clara, CA November 20-21, 2019. Stop by our booth #L10 to learn about silicone solutions in the most demanding applications.

Elkem Silicones will promote various silicone solutions that integrate diverse markets in wearables including healthcare, electronics and textiles. These products can be customized at scale to meet customers' manufacturing and application specifications:

  • The Silbione™ product range is specifically designed for healthcare applications, boasting biocompatible materials for wound care, skin contact and medical devices.

  • Bluesil™ electronic silicone adhesive (ESA) products for potting and encapsulation provide robust chemical and environmental protection for even the smallest most sensitive electronics. Our solutions insulate wearable components to protect against extreme operating conditions to ensure safety, reliability, and functionality.

  • LSR Select, our most innovative liquid silicone rubber, efficiently overmolds sensitive electronics for wearable devices.  By using this patented technology, the temperature to cure can go as low as 80°C while maintaining a quick cure profile.

  • Bluesil™ Textile Coating Silicones line that enhances durability and performance of smart clothing for screen printing, extrusion and coating processes.

The integration of Elkem's market expertise provides vertical integration for wearable applications. These silicones increase the comfort and utility of wearable devices, from anti-slip coatings that keep garments in place to UV and water-resistant coatings, permitting next generation smart e-textiles to be washed and worn in any weather.

R&D Staff Scientist Chris Helt will be presenting Proven Silicone Solutions for EV Thermal Management: Battery & Beyond at this year’s IDTechEx in Santa Clara, CA. Elkem Silicones will present proven silicone solutions in EV thermal management protecting over 300K electric vehicles by end of 2019. Case studies include EV thermal management in battery pack applications using silicone foams and thermally conductive solutions, as well as sealing and gasketing solutions and robust materials for high voltage cables that can withstand broad operating temperatures.

Our team is looking forward to seeing you at the show!
