NYKAT a safer alternative!
NYKAT is a new catalyst without organic tin compounds used for standard condensation curing silicones RTV-2 for molding applications. Some of the organic tin compounds that are used as catalysts for the condensation reaction for the RTV 2 are now restricted in use due to their toxicity. By developing this new catalyst system which is absolutely free of tin compounds, Elkem Silicones is contributing to create a safer work environment for our customers. Attention to health and safety is not just about being socially responsible, it is also about cost saving and prevention. It is becoming as important as the achievement of any other key business objective. This is the reason the interest of our customers for health and safety in work places is growing.
