SILCOLEASE PSA 408 is supplied at high solid content and high viscosity. It can be used as such or be diluted by addition of an appropriate aromatic solvent such as toluene or xylene.
To achieve optimum properties, the addition of an organic catalyst is recommended (benzoyl peroxide* - premixed to 50% - added at a concentration of 0,5 to 3% relative to SILCOLEASE PSA 408) The adhesive properties depend on the curing conditions used; they are generally of around a few minutes at temperatures of 130 - 200°C .
For some substrates, if the bond between SILCOLEASE PSA 408 and substrate is not adequate, SILCOLEASE PSA PRIMER 409, which is very effective and compatible to SILCOLEASE PSA 408, is recommended to improve the bonding.
|SILCOLEASE PSA 408 may be stored at a temperature between -5 °C/ 23 °F and 30 °C/ 86 °F for up to 12 months from its date of manufacturing.||Please consult the Safety Data Sheet of this product.|
