In order to achieve maximum product efficiency, it is necessary to have perfectly clean and dry surfaces.
Applying the primer:
The primer is applied to the porous surface using a clean paint brush. The product's viscosity is ideally suited to optimum coverage when applied with a brush. The primer is sensitive to atmospheric humidity, which can cause partial hydrolysis of the active ingredients if the packaging remains open. It is recommended to pour a little primer into an intermediary receptacle, and especially not to dip the brush directly in the original packaging. The appearance of a cloudy liquid in the recipient means that it must no longer be used.
The surface must be scrupulously protected from soiling whilst the primer is drying.
The primer should be applied with the material at a temperature of between + 5 °C and + 30 °C.
Consumption: around 200 g/m².
This depends on ambient humidity and the surface porosity.
At around 20 °C a drying time of around 30 minutes enables good adhesion properties to be obtained with optimal performance levels being obtained when the primer is perfectly dry to the touch.

BLUESIL PRIM 12076
BLUESIL PRIM 12076 is a compound intended to improve the adhesion of one- or two-component room temperature vulcanising silicone elastomers.
BLUESIL PRIM 12076 can be used on most porous surfaces.
It comes as a colourless, ready to use solution of reactants diluted in a solvent.
BLUESIL PRIM 12076 is used in combination with sealants on porous surfaces such as concrete, marble, brick, wood, etc.
The assemblies produced in this way can withstand immersion as long as it is not for too long (1 to 3 months at most, also dependent on the surface and the sealant used). This primer is recommended for use with all silicone sealants, including water based technology sealants. For non-porous surfaces, a different primer is recommended (BLUESIL PRIM 10073).
