Processing is particularly easy since the product is delivered ready to use.
Application is generally carried out using robotized equipment. Using wet gasketing techniques, it is possible to apply manually.
A bead of CAF 44 is applied to one of the two parts to be assembled. Assembly is immediate and must be carried out before skin formation.
Surfaces do not need to be completely flat CAF 44 fills surface defects and compensates for them.
It is recommended to apply CAF 44 to clean, dry surfaces.

CAF 44 may be stored at a temperature between 2 °C/ 36 °F and 30 °C/ 86 °F for up to 24 months from its date of manufacturing.Please consult the Safety Data Sheet of this product.ELV;RoHS

CAF 44

CAF 44 is a one-component silicone elastomer that is thixotropic and that cures at room temperature when it comes into contact with ambient humidity.
It is a product that is :

  • Acetic.
  • Non-flowing.
  • Stable at temperature and resistant to lubricants.
  • Highly extrudable.

CAF 44 has been specially developed to meet demanding sealing requirements in the transport industry.
Its mechanical properties as well as its composition make it an ideal product for long-lasting seals and gaskets which are in contact with aggressive engine lubricants or fluids.
It is particularly suited to gasketing applications using so-called wet gasketing techniques for the following applications :
Filling of joint surfaces, casings, housings, units, receptacles, inspection panels, drive units, differential units, tanks, hydraulic equipment, Diesel engines, engine-mounted parts, drive equipment, pumps, turbines, compressors and industrial hosing connectors.
