Processing is particularly easy because the product is delivered ready to use. Application can either be carried out manually or using robotized application equipment.

The bead of CAF 50 is applied on one of the two joint surfaces. Assembly must take place before the product has formed a skin.

It is recommended not to exert any strain on the assembly straight away.


Curing of CAF 50 starts as soon as the product comes into contact with atmospheric humidity.

The curing rate increases with both temperature and hygrometry.

Comment: it is recommended to apply the product to clean and dry surfaces.


Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground. Store in tightly closed original container. Store in a cool, dry place with adequate ventilation. Keep away from incompatible materials, open flames, and high temperatures. Avoid contact with oxidizing agents. Vulcanises at room temperature on contact with moisture in the air. For further information, refer to Section 10: "Stability and Reactivity". Suitable containers: Steel drums coated with epoxy-resin.

CAF 50 is a one component silicone elastomer which cures at room temperature:

  • BLACK (standard color), GREY (to order)

It has a chemically neutral curing system, guaranteeing no oxidation on contact with metals.

Odorless, it is particularly well accepted around the workstation environment.

CAF 50 has a skin formation time that is suited to industrial constraints allowing great flexibility in processing.
