BLUESIL RES 6407 can be combined with organic resins (e.g. alkyds), by cold blending, to improve coatings’ heat and weathering resistance. The amount of BLUESIL RES 6407 is generally around 20% (dry for dry, by weight), but it can be added up to 75%.
When used alone to formulate high temperature coatings, it is necessary to use specific temperature stable pigments such as black iron oxides or aluminum pastes.
Addition of catalysts such as iron octoate (0.1 to 0.5% / solid resin) is recommended for service temperature up to 400°C.

STORAGE -20°C Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground. Store in a cool, dry place with adequate ventilation. Keep away from incompatible materials, open flames, and high temperatures. Nitrogen blanketing of containers is required. Avoid contact with oxidizing agents.
