When added on a 2-roll mill, 0.5 to 1% of BLUESIL ADD 904 has a very noticeable effect on the green strength of HCR mixtures. Whilst higher doses can be used (up to 2 %) without having a detrimental effect on the cured compounds’ mechanical properties, this may cause « mill shrinkage » to occur.
Comments: BLUESIL ADD 904 tends to increase the swell, especially on slightly charged mixtures. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in transparent mixtures.
