SILCOLEASE CATALYST 90 B is used as a catalyst for the SILCOLEASE solvent based systems (SILCOLEASE 7420 or 7410) in the proportion of 4-6 parts for 100 parts of the base polymer.
Recommended formulation, typical:
SILCOLEASE 7420: 100 parts
SILCOLEASE CROSSLINKER 91 A: 1 part
SILCOLEASE CATALYST 90 B: 4 parts
Dilution solvent: to solids level required
The solvent used for diluting can be aliphatic or aromatic.
It is recommended to charge solvent first and commence stirring.
It is recommended to mix the products while stirring in the following order:
Disperse the polymer SILCOLEASE 7420 completely in the dilution solvent, then add
SILCOLEASE RCA 3 when needed, mix these together thoroughly and then add
SILCOLEASE CROSSLINKER 91 A, mix thoroughly before finally adding
SILCOLEASE CATALYST 90 B and completing mixing to a fully homogeneous blend.
Warning: SILCOLEASE CROSSLINKER and SILCOLEASE CATALYST may react
violently together and therefore must not be blended together separately from the
other components of the system.
