SILCOLEASE 7420 can be used with a catalyst, for example SILCOLEASE CATALYST 90 B, with a crosslinker, for example SILCOLEASE CROSSLINKER 91 A , and, if necessary a release control additive, for example SILCOLEASE RCA 3.

Recommended formulation, typical:
SILCOLEASE 7420.......................................................100 parts
SILCOLEASE CROSSLINKER ...................................1 part
SILCOLEASE CATALYST 90 B..................................4 parts
Dilution solvent...........................................to solids level required

Bath preparation:
The solvent used for diluting can be aliphatic or aromatic.
It is recommended to charge solvent first and commence stirring.
It is recommended to mix the products while stirring in the following order:
Disperse the polymer SILCOLEASE 7420 completely in the dilution solvent, then add SILCOLEASE RCA when needed, mix these together thoroughly and then add SILCOLEASE CROSSLINKER, mix thoroughly before finally adding SILCOLEASE CATALYST 90 B and complete mixing to a fully homogeneous blend.

Warning: SILCOLEASE CROSSLINKER and SILCOLEASE CATALYST may react violently together and therefore must not be blended together separately from the other components of the system.

SILCOLEASE POLY 7420 may be stored at a temperature between -20 °C/ -4 °F and 30 °C/ 86 °F for up to 24 Months from its date of manufacturingPlease consult the Safety Data Sheet of this product.Food Contact;Heavy Metals

SILCOLEASE POLY 7420

SILCOLEASE 7420 is a silicone polymer diluted in an aliphatic solvent intended for release applications involving papers, plastic films and various substrates.
SILCOLEASE 7420 cures by a polyaddition reaction with an organometallic compound and a crosslinker. An elastomeric type coating is obtained.
The release properties of the coating can be modified.
