Bluestar Silicones presents its latest innovations in adhesive silicones for electronic devices and electrical engineering at PCIM Europe trade show, in Nuremberg, May 16th – 18th, 2017.

Silicones in electronic applications

Silicone materials ensure that sensitive electronic components work in a safe and reliable way. Used in automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, solar, lighting…, silicones offer protection against environment as well as bonding and sealing for sensitive electronics devices.

At PCIM Europe, Bluestar Silicones presents its latest innovations in silicones for electronic devices, including its silicone solutions for:

Potting: Thanks to an excellent fluidity and high insulating performances, Bluestar Silicones Bluesil™ ESA RTV-2 & Gels range offers a high level of protection to electronic components against harsh environment. Discover our new generation of Bluesil ESA 6000 HT for IGBT potting with high long term thermal resistance up to 200°C, as well as our new potting material Bluesil ESA 7242 and its quick cure version.

Encapsulants: Bluestar Silicones CAF® RTV-1 and Bluesil™ ESA RTV-2 are silicone encapsulants which form flexible or rigid films conferring remarkable protection properties to electronic components. They are particularly suitable for insulation of printed circuit, electronic assemblies of flexible materials, electrical motor coils…

Conformal coating: Bluestar Silicones Bluesil™ Resins are widely used for the protection of printed circuits and electronic components. Their outstanding resistance to climatic and aging agents ensures that the product carries out its functions for a long time.

Thermal conductive: Electronic components are generating more and more heat which needs to be extracted outside of the electronic device. Bluestar Silicones Bluesil™ ESA RTV-2 elastomers and Bluestar Silicones Bluesil™ Pastes provide:

    - High heat conductivity and stability;

    - Exceptional resistance to aging factors (UV, ozone, salt fog… in humid and hot conditions);

    - Excellent resistance to fire and non-toxicity of residues and gas.
